On the top is the Handsome Fungus Beetle and below is the Pleasing Fungus Beetle. They are neither handsome nor pleasing but that may be due to my rendition. I painted them with some Crayola junk paint I got at the drug store for my daughter. The top one was painted with junk water color and the lower one with some junk version of a water-based paint.
I love a bird in pants. This guy should've gone with waders considering the water and all, but here he is in his feathery finery. This drawing was based on a photo sent to me by Joe Blackburn who is not only a great photographer but also the proud papa of this little baby.
Based on a photo taken by Barry Watson. Check out his boat images here. See all the Scottish Tugs and other boats I've drawn on the Upper Clydeside by clicking on boats or Scottish Tugs on the label list.
